Man, and here I am again...

...forgetting to post something. Actually, I didn't forget, my magic mouse's batteries died pretty early today. So, since I wasn't there, then I won't remember to post. It'll be interesting to see how this post shows up coming from my iPad.

While at work today, I was trying to come up with some locations to host photoshoots. I can easily go for the usual places, but was really trying to conjure spots where I have said, "Man, that would be a great spot for photos." I know I came up with a few before I won my camera (tomorrow's post), but I have been drawing blanks. Oh well, when the time comes, they will come back to me.

Short post, yes, but even though work is easy, it still requires 8 hours of sleep to be doable. Later kids!

(Until I get the app that works with blogger, I cant post photos on here. After Thursday, it'll happen.)

Fffffuuuuuu....

Man, today was cold as ice. Not good when you are on the last leg of your sickness. Almost there, body, almost there.

Last summer, I held a little temporary job working at a cell phone repair/refurbish warehouse. That is for another day, trust me. Anyways, one of the awesome things I bought was an Apple iPad. Man oh man, is this the sweetest device I have ever bought(so far)! 32GB of room, plenty for me, and it does so many things. If you really don't know what it is, then get out from under that rock ma' boy! The competition is getting stiffer, but none are actually on sale yet. There are a few I have my eyes set on to check out, but for now I'll stick to my iPad.

IF you do know what I am talking about, or even own one, you have to get Infinity Blade. Its an RPG, no wait third-person adventure, no hack n' slash...oh heck it's all of them. Easily one of my top 5 games to date.

I keep next to my Angry Birds, RealRacing HD, Splinter Cell, and Scrabble. It's really hard not to download every app you show interest in, especially if they are free. Only in the past few months have I really bought any apps. Sometimes you can find free apps do as good or better of a job as their paid counterparts.

Oh yeah, I still trying to figure out how to use SmugMug for my photography stuff. It's pretty easy by itself, but when trying to integrate to your own site, well it gets tricky. So, I be getting back to that. Post a link the next time.

Picture-of-the-day is one of said photographs that will be showcased on there. It's a tractor that carries large rolls of hay, and is located at Ash's Aunt's ranch thingy. Still haven't figured out the right name for the place.

Last Year...

...in February, my last trip of the year was to Hawai'i.  I have a friend who lives there with his family, so I have a place to stay. Anyways, I arrived at Honolulu at night. Literally the next morning, Texas had one of its heaviest snow storms on record. Talk about timing! So while I was enjoying 86 degree weather, people back home were scraping a foot of snow off cars.

I had a blast while I was there. We did have a few flirts with "death", but all in all it was the best trip ever. Here is a panoramic picture I took while we were scaling down to see a crater. That's Eric on the right taking some sweet shots with his camera.

It was pretty crazy, really. You actually have to drive up to the clouds to get the starting point. It took about 2 hours to go down, rest, and then 2 hours back up. The last 30 min though were spent in complete darkness, with only my phone to see where I was going. What made it really eerie is knowing that there is nothing out there except you and the path. No animals, no insects, nothing. Fun stuff, though.

The great thing about working is obviously the money and just having something to do. Only thing is having to wake up early, and not getting home until dinner time. At least it is fun, like I said, and I get to buy stuff/go to places. Anywho, off to bed, probably play TradeNations before then (very addicting).

Photo-of-the-day is another panoramic of the crater area. This is before we really got into the hike, so I was not tired then.

What do you get...

...when you have a runny nose, nasal congestion, fluid in ears, and a slight cough? I don't know either, but I'm sure as hell suffering through those RIGHT NOW! Ugh, I hate being sick @_@

What?! Yes yes I know, it's been over a year, and you said this and that, blah blah blah. I know I know, trust me. It was getting kind of hard blogging about nothing, so decided to give it a break. I'm back because I now have many things to tell and a lot of good things have happened to me. More on that kind of stuff later.

First off, Happy 2011. New year, new experiences. So far (besides being sick) it has been grand. After over 2 years of having no success in finding a job in my field, just in the nick of time I got hired late December. Last year's resolution COMPLETED! I am now on the track to having an awesome career. My title is Graphic Artist for KO Trading (website here). It's laid-back, awesome, and pays well enough to have the option of moving out. Hooray hoorah.

Seeing as I have taken 2 Benadryls and am getting pretty sleepy, I will go ahead and continue this little conversation/update tomorrow.

For the picture-of-the-day, here is a nice little shot of Sarge from a few weeks back. I have a bit to talk about photography in general, but that is for another day!

Welcome to the Family.

So, for this christmas my mom decided that she wanted a very present-filled one. That means that the budget for each person is more than usual. We spent an entire day just looking at Black Friday deals a few days before Thanksgiving. So many deals, so many choices. I found that my mom was planning to get me a 32" HDTV, but later on decided to just let me choose what I wanted. Like she said, I was a big kid now and secrets weren't necessary. After muuuch searching and weighing in what I would use the most and whatnot, I decided to get these things:

A HP All-in-One Printer. Meaning it comes with a scanner and it makes copies. Awesome.

A 1 TB Western Digital My Book Hard Drive. Needed this for effing ever now. No longer do I have the chance if running my HD memory as low as 16kB. Scary Stuff.

But the present I was most happy about deciding on was, a KitchenAid Stand Mixer! I have been secretly been wanting one of these for ages now. Without it, meringue, egg white foam, mousse, or angel food is not easily achieved.

Thing is, KitchenAid barely ever drops the price of these things more than $10-$20. But after I saw that Wal-Mart was throwing this baby at 31% off...I had to jump on that deal. It's really freakin' sweet.

As for the picture-of-the-day: snow in Texas. 'Nuff said.
